COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update: 03/17/2020

A message to our Customers, Neighbors, Friends and Business Owners from Jim Herlocker, President and CEO of Mineola Community Bank

Dear Customers,

As the spread of coronavirus, known as COVID-19, continues to be a growing concern across the country we want you to know that MCB is here to help with the situation.  You have much to take care of, with your family’s well-being being foremost.

MCB is open with regular hours and we plan on keeping normal business hours at each location.

Here’s what we are doing:

  • Health and safety are our top priority.  We are taking care of our bank employees so they can take care of you.  Any employee that has a fever will not come to work.  We will give the employee paid sick leave in addition to their normal sick leave.
  • Enhanced cleaning of all our locations has been implemented to make a safe environment to the bank and for our employees to be there for you.
  • Late charges are being waived on all loans until this situation is under control.
  • If you are negatively affected please contact us so we can partner with you to help you.
  • We are refunding ATM fees that we charge to facilitate access to cash.  We are having to program this so we are making it effective this Friday, the 20th of March.  Once again, this is only the fee that MCB charges, not another bank.
  • If you have not yet enrolled in Online banking please contact our offices.

Beware of Scams

Cybercriminals are hard at work exploiting our natural anxiety about the evolving coronavirus situation.  Be on the lookout for suspicious email and text messages that may try to impersonate a company, charity or government agency.  Remember,we will never reach out to you by phone or email and ask for confidential information such as your name, password, personal identification number (pin) or other account information.

As your bank, your health and safety is our utmost concern.  We commit to do everything possible to assist you and your family.  We will keep you informed as the situation evolves.  Stay safe and stay healthy.
